Antique Burroughes & Watts "Life Pool" Scoreboard - not snooker / billiards in Bedford, Bedfordshire for sale

Here we have a Burroughes & Watts Victorian two-player Life Pool scoreboard - a must for anyone wanting to achieve the look and feel of a traditional games room, or just to be admired. This lovely antique board is made of oak and has fixings for wall-hanging. It has a centre blackboard for chalk scoring, plus one brass rail and slide marker and one wooden rail with a bone slide marker. The numbers on the rolling score cylinders, and the slides on the sides, appear to be hand-painted (or maybe transfers?), and the “lives” indicators on each side have Mother Of Pearl inserts inside the sliding covers. The board has come straight from a derelict old games room, so it’s dusty, has a few paint spots along the top (not visible when wall-mounted, and could be delicately cleaned off anyway) and is in need of a little TLC. It also has a few of the indicator buttons missing, but these can be obtained …. overall I believe these little quirks just enhance its character - and of course speak to its history ….
